Did you know that we have a thriving sister company operating in the Middle East? Lomas ME FZE is a 100% owned subsidiary company of Lomas Engineering Ltd (UK). It was established in 2017 to provide a local presence for our customers in the region. Lomas ME FZE supports our existing business activities in the Middle East, with a particular focus on special tools for the aerospace sector. In addition, Lomas ME FZE is an independent distributor of a range of products from industry- leading manufacturers involved in cutting tools, work-holding and CNC machine manufacture.
The team of 10 is headed up by Martin Verity. Martin comments:
‘We initially created a cutting tool regrinding workshop for the local market. Soon after, we established the company as an independent distributor for cutting tools, work-holding equipment and other products associated with the metal cutting industry.’

Our key products and services include:
1. Cutting tools
Lomas ME distributes and provides technical support for Lomas Cutting Tools, WIDIA and Guhring as well as Cogsdill, bringing to the region industry-leading solutions in hole-making, milling and turning. They also offer unique solutions for burnishing and deburring.
2. Tool regrinding
Lomas ME operates a fully equipped tool regrinding facility, utilising the latest machines from ANCA and Schneeberger. All backed by 40 years’ experience in tool manufacture from parent company Lomas Engineering Ltd.
3. Tool management systems
Lomas ME provides full tool management systems, enabling vending solutions onsite at customer premises. They use the industry-leading Guhring tool management systems which features automatic management of tools that require regrinding. Lomas ME also offers integrator services for complete management of tooling inventory.
4. CNC machines and work-holding solutions
Lomas ME are the exclusive dealer for Kitagawa and Lang Tecknik in the Middle East. They also represent GF Machining Solutions, combining the 5 best axis machine tools with modular work-piece clamping, chucks and jaws as well as specialist fixture design and manufacture.
Leading-edge solutions
Utilising the latest industry 4.0 tool management systems from one of our main partners Guhrig, we have introduced to the region, modern inventory management of consumable cutting tools, to help manage costs and inventory.
We also provide an advanced cutting tool regrinding and coating service, utilising the same machine technology as Lomas Engineering UK. Industry leading coatings from Oerlikon Balzers are used for tool coatings.
Our primary partners for cutting tools are Guhring, WIDIA, Kitagawa and Cogsdill, and through these industry-leading partners we are able to offer companies in the region the best possible solutions for metal cutting manufacturing.
In 2021, we plan to further expand the Middle East business by providing a full tool management system along with ongoing technical support, allowing customers to always have the correct cutting tools available onsite, to help streamline production.
