We’re delighted to share a recent success story from our sister company, Lomas Middle East, who have been awarded a long-term contract agreement from Strata Manufacturing based in Al Ain in the U.A.E.
Lomas ME will become the key Cutting Tool supplier at Strata and will also be implementing a fully integrated Tool Management System (TMS) for the complete management of all Cutting Tool inventory for Strata Manufacturing on various aerospace programs.
Lomas ME will manage and oversee the complete Tooling inventory delivering ongoing cost savings to Strata while ensuring that all supplied tooling is available on-site. Lomas ME will also manage the supply of various other Strata suppliers in an integrator role for the same aerospace programs.
The Guhring industry 4.0 TMS 326 Tool Management System has been installed on site allowing Strata Manufacturing staff direct access to the required tools for manufacturing. The TMS 326 will fully manage all cutting tools and automate the correct tool selection and tool re-grinding process allowing Strata Manufacturing to reduce the tooling costs further through the Lomas ME tool regrinding program.
As part of the contract Lomas ME will have experienced cutting tool engineers on-site permanently to support Strata Manufacturing in implementing new tool technologies and helping with various cost reductions in all the current and any new manufacturing programs.
